Auto-Arrange reads the date and place each photo was taken and sorts the whole library into trips (several days away from home), events (holidays, a birthday, a big day out), and seasons for everything in between. It keeps those groups in order through the year and chooses a layout for every page — full-bleed moments, grids of two to nine, portrait and landscape matched to the photo — so the book reads with some rhythm rather than the same grid on every page.
Before you run it, mark favorites in the Photos tab: a ♥ heart makes that photo the larger one on its page, a ★ star gives it a page of its own.
By default each trip, event and season gets a two-page opener — a quiet color page and a titled divider with the trip's name and dates, in your cover's color scheme. They are ordinary divider pages: change the words, pick another style or color from the left panel, or delete the ones you don't want. Turn openers off under Global Settings if you'd rather not have them.
Running Auto-Arrange again rebuilds the pages from your photos — it will ask first if you have edited pages by hand. Your cover, title page and back cover are kept.
