The short version: We collect only what we need to run Memory Booked. We don't sell your data. Your photos and memories belong to you. You can delete your account and data at any time.
Memory Booked ("we," "us," or "our") is a collaborative photobook platform that allows individuals to create projects, collect memories and photos from friends and family, and compile them into printed photobooks.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read it carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.
Information you provide directly:
Information collected automatically:
We do not collect sensitive personal information such as government identification numbers, health records, or financial account numbers beyond what is required to process a payment.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not use your content — memories, photos, or captions — to train machine learning models or for advertising purposes.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial record-keeping purposes (such as records of completed payment transactions, which we retain for seven years as required by tax law).
Project content — memories and photos — is retained until the project organiser deletes the project or you request deletion of your specific submissions. Submitted content that has been incorporated into a printed and shipped photobook cannot be recalled from physical copies already delivered.
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
We use a minimal set of cookies necessary to operate the Service:
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or analytics services that identify individual users. We do not participate in cross-site tracking.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include:
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
Members of the Memory Booked team can open your account and your books in order to provide customer support. We do this to fix a problem, correct a layout, or finish something you have asked us for help with — and for no other purpose. We do not browse accounts, and we do not open a book to look at it out of interest.
When a member of our team is working in your account, the following are blocked by the system itself, not merely by policy:
Every support session is recorded internally — who opened the account, when, and every change they made — and retained for approximately 13 months. These records are kept so that we can investigate any concern you raise. If you would like to know whether your account has been accessed, and what was done, contact us at [email protected] and we will tell you.
When you send us a message through the help window, we automatically attach technical details about your session — the page you were on, which book you were working on, your browser and operating system, your screen size, and any error the page had just encountered. We do this so you do not have to describe your setup, and we use it only to answer your question. We do not attach the contents of your book, your photographs, or anything you have typed elsewhere on the Service.
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will promptly delete it.
Users between the ages of 13 and 18 should use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (at the address associated with your account) or by posting a prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after any changes to this Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us:
We aim to respond to all privacy-related enquiries within 5 business days.
