In October 2018, our friend lost his battle with stage 4 glioblastoma at 31. We were devastated and wanted to reach out to his family, but we did not know how. Our experiences with him spanned years of memories — moments his family had never seen, and memories we would have loved to share with them, especially at the time of his death.
We had never met his family. We did not have their contact information. We did not want to intrude during such a challenging time. We wished there was a good way to help them remember David and for us to honor him.
